Calcium and phosphorus are important nutrients for bone maintenance. There are industry guidelines for minimum and maximum levels (but no legal restrictions).
The phosphorus and calcium levels in Akela dry foods are high if compared to recipes of lower meat content however you need to feed less of Akela so the total amount of phosphorus and calcium consumed is usually equivalent. Please follow the feeding guide on our website. Our Free-Range Chicken recipe is the lowest in phosphorus and calcium, closely followed by our Scottish Salmon recipe.
